look: three finger rocky white head with great retention, beer is a delightful deep hazy amber colour, good levels of carbonation in the beer and a little sediment floating around as well.
smell: smells quite nice, lime all the way, sweet and salty, lot of caramel, hint of vanilla, white bread malt, a nice sourness to it, some lemon and orange as well, enticing.
taste: golly that’s sour, but it’s quite nice, once again it’s dominated by lime, richer malt character than on the nose, sourdough bread, gooseberry, lemon, pink grapefruit, quite sweet, caramel and toffee, vanilla, earthy, floral, serious sourness and moderate bitterness on the finish, nice.
feel: light to medium bodied, medium carbonation, puckering sourness, lingering bitterness on the back of the tongue, but still really crisp and drinkable, and totally sessionable at 4.1%
overall: i keep drinking all these warm summer’s day beers on cold winter nights, a can of this on a hot day would be most refreshing, tasty stuff.
