440ml can from Centra, Enniskillen (£3.69):
Bright copper with a translucent body & a thin, quarter cm head that's bubbly, off-white but covers the surface well initially at least. Strong, dry hops, pine & a candy sweetness open the nose with some rye notes & toffee; there's a touch of toffee nearer the end too but the alcohol is well hidden thus far. The taste is similarly strong with pine hops, rye & grain with earthy malts & some of the alcohol showing around the middle. It's medium bodied & sweet with a pine hop bitterness throughout that's slightly resinous early on; not bad but definitely a touch on the strong side.
