Light to dark brown BBB is nearly opaque, but relatively clear if visible in light. The Bishop has a moderate off-white to tan head.
The aroma is malty-sweet, with a rich, caramel or toffee-like character. Very lightly fruity, with notes of dark fruits such as plums and/or raisins. The Bishop has little to no hop aroma.
The Bishop has a taste of caramel- or toffee-like malty sweetness on the palate that is lasting into the finish. There is a light dark fruit complexity but not overpowering. Low to no hop bitterness.

Very good Brown Ale, balance is nice and the toffee, plum, and raisin hints are in all the right places. Not enough well crafted brown ales out there. Great desert beer for those with subtle sweet tooth.
