Pineapple, passionfruit, and terpenes have placed the “Strata” hop in direct contention for the hop throne that “Citra” currently occupies. A former experimental hop developed at Oregon State University, Strata quickly became one of our very favorite hops. Front loaded with citrus flavor, this tropical beauty remains approachable ‘til the end. Top it all off with an aroma some may find curiously familiar.

L: A citrusy murk bomb which looks amazingly mouthwatering. A thin head which leaves some splotches of lace in a line where I drank from only.
S: Loads of citrus and stonefruits (mostly fresh plum) on the nose.
T: More peaches on the palate. Massive tangerine and orange rind. A tiny bit evergreen.
F: Like juice and booze, a mamosa, but the alcohol is well hidden. Good carbonation.
O: This brew is not the best of style, but in my view is highly underrated at the moment (3.63 is a travesty!)
