Pours amber with a slight haze and a nice froth of foam that subsides to rings in the New Belgium snifter. Crisp and not to be mistaken for a Blonde Ale, but more mellow than a lot of hopped up PIlsners. Warm malty flavor with cereal and a hint of dried pears. Appealing aroma of grain with a note of alfalfa.

Seems like the challenge with American versions of Kölsch is getting the mouthfeel right. Then there is what I call the "perfumey" hop flavor, whatever hop that might be in Deutschland. But quite quaffable. From the 16 oz can purchased at the beer-centric supermarket. Dated 09/03/21.

Can received in Bif14 from @snaotheus

Poured into a handbell IPA glass , it’s a clear golden liquid with active streams of micro carbonation, a one finger white foam cab quickly fades to a thin white layer no lacing

ARoma is Grassy, Malts, hay, straw

Taste is grassy, malts

Clean , soft mouthfeel , medium sudsiness

Good beer, sessionable

This is a collaboration with Barry Chan's Lucky Envelope Brewing. Chan has been specializing in American kolsch style beers for quite a few years. For this they included a rarely seen new hop called Grüngeist and couple that with Triumph hops. This gives this beer a happy blend of kolsch meets session IPA. Has the look of a WC IPA, pale orange with the head characteristics of a lager. Quite fruity on the nose - hints of citrus, kumquat & baked goods. Nice blend of malt, hop & fruit on the palate. This could be quaffed in excess.
