Had this in 2014-08-15 at the brew pub. IBUs noted as 85.
A - Opaque dark brown with a 1-finger light brown head and good lace.
S - Nutty, Ovaltine, light coffee and a touch of soy. Smells inviting.
T - Echoes the smell pretty closely but with more roasted and hop bitterness. There's some char to compliment the cacao. No soy taste.
M - Medium body and light-medium carbonation. Great mouthfeel as usual by Rod.
O - A well-done black IPA. While not a favorite style of mine, I enjoyed it quite a bit.
