Had this on 2015-04-16 at the brewery and the next day from a growler. Note, this is really an Imperial Amber, although there isn't a BA category for this.
A - Pretty clear dark amber with a 2-finger light tan head and great lace.
S - Toffee, sweet cherry, earthy spice. Very fragrant.
T - Chocolate, toffee, well-toasted rye bread, earthy spice, cherries, pepper, touch of pine and citrus. Residual sweetness compliments the significant, lasting bitterness.
M - Thick body and medium carbonation. Like a milkshake. Great body.
O - This is one heck of a delicious beer. Kind of like a cross between a Troegs Nugget Nectar and a Sierra Nevada Northern Hemisphere; two perennial favorites of mine. One could also mistake it for an American barleywine. Worth seeking out.
