Interesting combination of flavors here. The underlying barleywine had potpourri like spice and dried fruit plus some toffee sweetness. The peaty smoked malts were assertive, ashy, slightly salty, and a little sour. The bar's website mentioned bourbon barrels, but I can't say I noticed any barrel characteristics.
Overall I really enjoyed this one, my first from these folks.

Had this on 2015-12-19 and 2017-01-01 at the brewey on tap.
A - Hazy mahogany with a short tan head and decent lace.
S - Toffee, medium roasted grain, earhty spice, pipe tobacco.
T - Dried cherries, caramel, touch of peat, orange candy, roasted grain, vanilla, mild oak. Nice amount of bitterness for balance. Not boozy. Complex mix of flavors.
M - Medium-heavy body and light carbonation. Sticky in a good way.
O - Another winner.
