Had this on 2015-12-19 the brewery on tap and again on 2016-07-30 (this time aged in Buffalo Trace bourbon barrels.)

A - Opaque dark brown with 1/2 finger brown head and decent lace.

S - Light bourbon, vanilla, herries, cola, chocolate, med-dark roasted grain.

T - Nice flash of bourbon and vanilla up front. Then dark chocolate, dried cherries, dark roasted grain with some char. Malt and alcohol sweetness for balance. The complex malt/ boubon flavors continue into the roasted finish.

M - Heavy body and light carbonation. Thick and rich.

O - Great base beer and the barrel aging takes it up a notch or two. The Buffalo Trace is particularly good. Compares favorably to a 50/50 Eclipse (high praise indeed).
