Had this on 2016-03-09 in Columbia, PA at the brewery on-tap
A - Almost opaque ruby-brown with a short tan head and moderate lace.
S - Raisin, toffee, dried cherries, earthy spice and light-medium roasted grain.
T - True to the aroma with a rich cornucopia of dried cherries, figs, raisins, toffee and spice. There's just a hint of some smoke. There's some alcohol sweetness complimenting the rest of the malt flavors and a wee bit of alcohol heat. Finishes with a light bit of roast/hop bitterness (IBU = 18) for balance but the rich malt/fruit flavors never completely dry out.
M - Medium-heavy body and light-medium carbonation. Chewy. Syrupy but not cloying. Great feel.
O - Another winner. I can't wait to try the upcoming bourbon barrel-aged version, which will be called Highlander.
