Had this on 2016-05-07 in Columbia, PA at the brewery on-tap
A - Very dark but clear ruby-brown with a short tan head and mild lace.
S - Mild rye whiskey, raisin, toffee, dried cherries, earthy spice and light-medium roasted grain.
T - Rye whiskey up front compliments the dried cherries, figs, raisins, toffee and spice. Finishes with a light bit of roast/hop bitterness for balance but never overwhelm the rich malt/fruit flavors.
M - Medium-heavy body and light-medium carbonation. Chewy. Syrupy but not cloying.
O - This is the Stonehaven Wee Heavy, barrel-aged. Stonehaven was good; this is even better.
