Had this on 2017-02-26 at the brewery
A - Hazy golden orange with a short white head and mild lace
S - Fresh pear flesh, light citrus, lightly toasted bread with apple blossom honey.
T - Significant malt body and hop forward flavors vie for attention. There's a tart and spicy applesauce flavor too. Citrus zest bitterness in the finish. A little muddled as it warms.
M - Medium body and carbonation. Pretty substantial for an APA.
O - A nice take on a Pale Ale with a focus on the malt flavors. On this day, I had a Juniper Amber Ale after this beer and I preferred the flavor of the Juniper Ale over this one. My personal preference for an APA is for an ABV around 5% with a citrus/pine/biscuit flavor emphasis.
