This is the 100th beer from Columbia Kettle Works that I have reviewed!!
Had this on 2017-07-01 at the brewery. Note, this was brewed here by Deprrick Bransby, Columbia Kettle Works’ pick in this year’s (2017) Iron Brewer Homebrew Competition.
A - Clear straw with a short white head that fades quickly leaving little lace
S - Biscuit, honey, orange floral. Pleasant but not very strong.
T - Lightly toasted white bread topped with a not-very-sweet-orange-honey marmalade. Nice touch of light grassy/herbal spice. Mild orange zest bitterness rounds things out.
M - Medium body and carbonation. Smooth.
O - A tasty, easy drinking summer beer. I enjoyed how the flavors evolved as the beer warmed. Reminded me somewhat of a New Belgium "Dayblazer". It's cool the brewery is such a supporter of home brewing! I got a growler to go and I doubt it'll be the only one.
