Had this on 2018-01-27 at the brewery
A - Very hazy amber brown with a short tan head and light lace.
S - Light rye barrel enhances the base beer, which reminds me of toasted brown bread with apple butter.
T - Mmm. Initially apple butter on toast with cinnamon. Toffee sweetness mid palate resolves with light oak and light rye whiskey. Low bitterness. Alcohol sweetness with warming heat on the pretty-dry finish.
M - Medium body and light-medium carbonation. Smooth then lightly-sticky then fairly dry. Impressive.
O - This is a fine Strong Ale. Worth heading to the brewery soon while it is on tap.
