Look: It pours black with a tan head. Head retention is very good.
Smell: It has chocolate and roast aromas. There are low levels of nuts. Dark fruits begin to become noticeable as the beer warms.
Taste: It has chocolate and roast flavors with some nut elements in the background. There are some cocoa elements with a sweetness to it.
Feel: It has a smooth medium body. It finishes sweet.
Overall, a chocolate and roast stout with a few supporting background elements.

Pours a midnight black color so u can't tell about carbonation. Thin tan head. Taste is mostly strong black coffe with a slight milky smooth finish, mouthfeel is typical for a stout, overall pretty close to the original Guinness. This is what carnival cruise lines offers for their stout instead of Guinness.

A strong roasty, coffee taste to this one...
Very nice, practically black colored beer with tan head and no lacing. You would think there would be a nice strong smell to this, but nope, the coffee smell and roast was very much muted. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied and carbonated more than I like but at least not to the point where it distracts from the overall experience. The taste was one aspect that is redeemable - strong coffee notes come across on this one - if you're not into such things it would probably turn you off. Overall, this is a solid stout, nothing spectacular but definitely worth a try.

12 oz can from FL with no date that I can find.
Very dark brown body with a short-lived tan head.
Aroma: off notes dominate and mask others. A suggestion of stale milk.
Flavor: off notes obvious but some hints of coffee, brown bread and toast. Moderately sour. Lingering sour aftertaste.
Feel: Medium+ body; medium-light carbonation. Smooth.
O: fresh can kept cool so apparently a bad or infected batch. QC?

Thanks to awoek305 for this extra from our trade. Reviewed from (long-standing) notes. Poured from a 12 oz. can into an El Catador Barrel-Aged glass.
A: Fairly dark brown and nearly opaque, though it appears a little thin during the pour. Forms a two-finger light tan head that lasts quite awhile; a low amount of visible carbonation.
S: Milk chocolate and baker's chocolate. Roasted malts, and notes of vanilla and coffee. Only a mild lactose sweetness, but I’ll agree it’s there. While an overall impression of sweetness, a mild roasted malt and grassy hop bitterness keeps it from being overly sweet. There's also a mild cola aspect I could do without, but it doesn’t ruin the aroma.
T: Chocolate and roasted malts, lactose and vanilla. Then green apples and sour cherries – not huge, but they're definitely there on repeated sips. Some cola flavor again. More odd fruitiness and tinny flavor with chocolate malts in the hang.
M: A fairly light body for style. Low alcohol presence and a good amount of carbonation sensation.
O: This isn’t the freshest (drank about six months after canning), but it’s been in the fridge ever since I got it. It wasn't terribly infected, but there were certainly off-flavors that don’t belong in this beer. I’ll update this review if I ever end up with a second try, but I'm not overly motivated for a second try as it is this wasn’t appealing to drink. Drain pour, ultimately.

Very dark, nearly opaque coffee-colored with a tan head; A rich chocolaty smell; mouthfeel is smooth and sparkly; taste is pleasantly tangy with no strongly identifiable flavors - tastes like a mild stout, a hint of sweetness with an ever so slightly sour aftertaste. A good pleasant enjoyable stout.
Six cans came in a holder made of paper, not plastic. Kudos to Saltwater Brewery
