Very dark brown with a beige ring. Smell has barley, oats, malt, bitter chocolate, and subtle soil. Taste is heavily roasted malt, oat, with earth tones, and slight weak coffee, but all undercut by the feel, which is watery, in between sharp roasted texture. Still not an offensive stout, but better options out there

not a bad little stout here, albeit a little common or samey in taste, but well enough made and frankly one of the more sound beers i have had from these guys, although the sample size is admittedly small. very dark color here, clear shine to it, jet black, caramel colored foam head on top is short lived. aroma of heavy roast, coffee, and some real sweet toffee type sugary middle, although seemingly balanced well enough by the bitter from the dark grain, an almost burnt aromatic to this. the flavor is good, sweeter than it needs to be through the middle into the finish, but some nice dark roasted grain comes up late to calm that aspect a bit. it needs ore carbonation, especially with all this body, and this bitterness does linger a bit long, but the flavor here is pretty solid. a nice creaminess to the texture, but its a little bit still. subtle coffee and even raisin notes as it winds down, not overly complex, but better than one dimensional. you dont hear too much about these guys in the craft circles here, perhaps not the most creative beers, but this is a fine stout, especially as the weather turns towards winter here.

Look: Pours a dark black. Pours with almost no head.
Aroma: Lots of coffee and then some chocolate and some roasted notes
Taste: Coffee and chocolate are dominant. The beer tastes really watery and has an odd sweetness that doesn't quite mix with the other flavors. It kinda tastes like drinking old coffee grounds.
Feel: Low carbonation and a very watery mouthfeel.
