Draught @ Brewery: This one pours a hazy, golden color. There was a thin white head and no lacing. Good nose. Citrus, earthy and some floral notes. Some malts in the background. The taste is also good. Somewhat bitter, with citrus and earthy flavors. Good malty body.

Purchased in Wells Maine while on a long weekend for a wedding.
Had toured and tasted from this brewery 4 years ago and thought to seek some out while in town.
Classic east coast dipa look and smell with a bright and sticky taste.

Pours a two finger white head that fades slowly, leaving some lace. Murky amber color. Strong carbonation and medium bodied. Grapefruit nose. Flavor follows grapefruit hops, slight bitter finish. Higher ABV, 8% is hidden. Not worth $8.99 for a 22oz bottle from Bert's Better Beers Hooksett, NH.

Definitely an underrated dipa... very classic taste and feel but with a nice piney and light fruity aroma. Nice darker deep orange than other bright orange but thick and flavorful. Loved it.

From a 625 ml bottle, undated, to a tulip glass.
Nice deep caramel color. Clear, minimal head.
Smell of spicy ripe fruit with a slight smell of alcohol.
Taste is not quite as fruity as the best fresh double IPA's--Epiphany at the brewery. Goldilox is a bit heavier--more apricot, than grapefruit.
Feel is nice, but unremarkable.
Overall a good bottled double IPA. Comparable with, say, Boomsauce or Daikaju.

Hazy and very dark orange-yellow with a fluffy, retentive head.
Smells thick. Big nodes of pine and syrupy malt. Pretty old-school. Not bad at all, but not great. Although to be prefectly honest I might be giving it some points out of nostalgia, because I'm a little relieved to come across a heavy IPA that doesn't try to smell like fruit juice.
Tastes much more balanced and well composed than the aroma had led me to anticipate. Bright hops and sweet grain up front, moving into a middle that's more piney and bitter, finishing with some thick malt that's maybe just a bit too syrupy but not so much as to distract from the parts of the beer that work.

Two-finger head from a vigorous pour from the 22 oz bottle. Plenty of spots on the glass after each sip. The liquid is far more brown than any other color despite the Goldilox name. Cloudy.
Fresh, warm, sweet caramel is the first smell I get. Notes of apricot, cream and fresh cut grass. Surprisingly little notable hop.
Thick, rich body with a moderate carbonation level. This is a very smooth DIPA with a low hop presence. Instead, I get lots of aforementioned caramel and a cinnamon-apple pie element. The swallow dries the flavor out quickly. Here I get some straight up, black pepper bitterness. Lingering aftertaste.

Golden amber is color. Very little head. Pineapple and pine. Grassy. Big malty character. Super dry finish. Medium, sticky bodied. It's 8% but drinks like it's 11%. Ok.
