Poured from a can into a snifter
Appearance – The beer pours a super dark brown nearly black color with just a touch of fizzy tan colored foam on the surface of the brew. The head fades super quick, leaving little to no lacing.
Smell – The aroma is huge of a roasted and toasted peanut smell mixed with a strong showing of vanilla and cocoa. Along with these smells are notes of coffee grounds and crème, along with some smells of molasses and brown sugar. There is some roasted and charred bread in there as well, and with a bit of milk chocolate fudge, a very rich and inviting smell is produced.
Taste – The taste is drier than I was anticipating, but is rather intense. It begins with a huge roasted and toasted malt with lots of dark chocolate and coffee. At the same time there is a decent showing of peanut upfront, with it growing a bit more intense as the taste advances. At the same time some sweeter flavor begin appearing on the scene, with vanilla, brown sugar, and toffee all becoming more intense. Some char also develops alongside the sweet, along with a little bit of wood and nut. A the end, the bitter coffee amps up a bit, and with a bit of a peanut shell like flavor, one is left with a very dark and roasty peanuty taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body is heavy and thick with a very low carbonation level, good for the dessert qualities of the brew.
Overall – I was anticipating something much sweeter, but this was actually quite approachable (although still quite heavy). Certainty fun to try.

This isn't bad. The peanut butter and chocolate both taste natural and work well together. The body is a bit thin and chalky though. Overall this works as a novelty, not one I'd revisit.

Good, tight beige head which lasts throughout the tasting. Good 3D streaky lacing. Dark brown where light passes easily through the edge of the glass.
Peanut butter and chocolate nose. Low darker malt aroma. Attractive but cloyingly sweet.
It IS too sweet. There's some bitterness in the swallow but it's too little, too late. Rich body with lighter carbonation. This might work as a small dessert beer but not as a full pint.

Not some, but all of a pint can's contents filled a clear Imperial pint glass. Not much for providing head nor glass lace, there is an enormous amount of peanut butter aroma in the air, compliments of. The taste isn't as bold as the aroma, which makes this a very savory beverage. Of course, the nose picks up the peanuts first, but, as for the taste, it's the malt. That is naturally on the sweet side and compliments the peanut flavor nicely. Just a bit light bodied for the palate, but overall a very balanced flavored stout. Whoopie!
