Located not ten minutes walk from Galma Station this spacious basement gastro-pub offers a salad bar and free home-made beer from around 6:30-10pm on weeknights. With both offers combined it comes to around ₩20,000.
The beer is brewed on the premises or nearby and the selection has recently expanded. There's now a lager, a Weizen, a Dunkel, a pale ale and an American wheat beer. The beer is not great, especially the latter two, but it's free. The Weizen is the star. It's particularly fruity – whether or not because of additives is not for me to say.
The Western style salad bar is reasonable for the price but the last time I visited they'd done away with the fried chicken and I can't say I was tempted by the spagbol or sausage sauce. I capitalised on the beer instead.
The staff are well, Korean, but they all speak English. While the place attracts a lot of foreigners the crowd is generally Korean. The pub itself is lavishly decked out in some sort of pan-European beerhouse format. It's pretty cool. It would be even cooler if they played Western music on the big projector screen instead of silly K-pop.
Definitely worth a look in if you're in the area.
