Pours a pitch black coloration with a small, fizzy head. Smell is dominated by roasted malt and coffee, with hints of chocolate and licorice. Taste follows the nose, being heavily dominated by a roasted malt and coffee flavour, with lighter notes of chocolate, licorice and also a certain hoppy earthy/grassy note. Finishes with a medium bitterness and some roasted coffee lingering in the aftertaste. Somewhat thin mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
This somewhat reminds me of Yeti, with a really nice balance of roasted malt/coffee notes and earthy/grassy hoppy accents, rounded out by a good bitterness. Body/mouthfeel is a little thin, but not too bad, really.
