Bottle 0.5L.
Clear, amber body with an average, frothy, off-white head, mostly diminishing with some lacing; average density of medium-sized bubbles.
Intense, overwhelming hoppy aroma (flowers, lily) with moderate notes of medicine and solvent.
Moderate-to-heavy sweet flavour with some light acidic note in the finish.
Light body with watery texture; soft carbonation.

330ml bottle into a pint glass. Bottled 7/8/18, so over 3 years old.
Looks a bit grubby in the glass, kind of an ice tea look. Small off white head doesn't last long, no lacing
Quite a sweet malty aroma.
On tasting, yes, pretty sweet. There is a hint of dry bitterness here and there.
Mouth just about reaches medium, finish quite drying.
Overall, well obviously age has hurt some aspects of this beer. For all that, it's not a bad tasting drink overall. Curious how one fresh off the line would taste.

De color ámbar, ligera y de carbonatación media. Tiene una cabeza espumosa de buena retención. Aroma a malta y caramelo. En boca destaca la malta aunque su final resulta un poco seco.

Served at home in a shaker glass. Pours a deep golden-amber colour, big head with very long retention, collar like lacing.
Aroma of malts, toffee, roasted, floral and spices notes.
Medium to light body, sticky texture, good carbontaion.
Taste of toffee, malts, roasted notes, spices.
Good beer that one could have anyday.

Poured from bottle into tulip, 2 finger off white head recedes slowly, good lacing. Slightly opaque burnt copper color. Smells of caramel, fruity yeast easters and some floral hops. Taste of sweet caramel, toffee, honey and some floral hops. Bitterness on the lower end, somewhat semi sweet finish. Find the caramel/honey somewhat too much here, but smooth drinking beer none the less.

A: The beer is slightly hazy orange amber in color and has a slight amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a half finger high white head that died down, leaving only a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of caramel malts, toasted malts, and toffee are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell, having flavors of toasted malts along with hints of biscuit and caramel malts. There are also some bits of floral hops, but these mostly serve to mask any apparent sweetness and contribute a slight amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer has a very malty and filling mouthfeel and is almost akin to a bock.

BOTTLE: 75cl. Brown glass. Pry-off crown cap. Appealing label art & design, but note that contrary to the brewery's website, the label does not have the word "Vienna" on the green band below "dalla nostra terra;" it's blank. Purchased at a bottle shop in Sofia, Bulgaria.
Served cold into a pilsner glass. Expectations are average.
HEAD: .5 inches wide. White colour. Foamy, frothy, creamy, and soft-looking. Leaves light uneven lacing on the sides of the glass as it recedes. Retention is above average - ~3-4 minutes.
BODY: Translucent murky dull copper. No yeast is visible within. Not the vibrant colour you'd expect in a great Vienna lager.
Appears well-carbonated. Pretty average, all things considered.
AROMA: Buttery notes/diacetyl off-notes. Unwelcome caramalt, with an accompanying candy-like sweetness. Maybe some grassy hops (Noble)?
Aromatic intensity is average. This is way off-base for a Vienna lager, and even outside of style conventions it isn't even really generally appealing.
TASTE: Overly sweet caramalt ruins the balance, but the build is underwhelming anyway. Its vague floral hop presence coupled with a weird almost honey-like raw sweetness does little to fit into the Vienna lager paradigm. Poorly put together, with poorly selected hop varietals and a malt base/grain bill that's just plain wrong for the style. It almost leans into English styles what with all the biscuit malt character. And the buttery diacetyl off-notes really turn me off to it.
It's not offensive or boozy, but it's way off the mark for the style. Hard to like.
TEXTURE: Medium-bodied, unrefreshing, smooth, wet, and moderately thick. Buttery. Overcarbonated.
Fails to elevate the beer or to accentuate specific notes.
OVERALL: A poor example of a Vienna lager, but nevertheless a beer whose 75cl bottle I will still be able to finish. I wouldn't bother with it again, and minor tweaks to the grain bill wouldn't save it - you'd need to just start over with a new recipe. Not that it affects my rating, but it's worth noting the price is pretty awful as well (~5 euro - in Bulgaria - though the size of the bottle mitigates this slightly).
