Nightcap Belgian Blonde

On draught at the brewery. Served in a plastic cup (during COVID restrictions). It pours a bright, honey-orange color with a thin, milk-whit head, and thick, creamy lacing. The fragrant smell features banana, apple, clove, coriander, and Belgian yeast. The taste opens very sweet with notes of honey, candied fruit (banana and apple), and Belgian spicing. However, as it sits and warms in the glass it settles nicely. There is spiciness throughout and just a hint of bitterness at the finish. Its mouth feel is thick, almost syrupy, with low carbonation, and a warming 8.7% ABV that is hard to ignore. Overall, NIghtcap is a nice, flavorful, big Belgian Blonde, the whole of which is greater than the sum of its parts. Thoroughly enjoyable.
