Growler shared by jcwattsrugger, thanks for the opportunity!
Slightly hazy medium golden color. Light bready malts with a fair amount of citrus pine and earthy hop aroma. Flavor follows the aroma quite well. Nice easy drinking ipa that hides its abv quite well. Double IPA is a bit of a stretch for the brew though.

Appearance: orange in color with a 1" head that slowly faded to a spotty surface foam. Spots of lace develop during the session.
Smell: pine and citrus tones, along with some earthy hop bitterness are easily detectable.
Taste: caramel, pine, orange, soft grapefruit, and an earthy bitterness create a well balanced beer. Alcohol is mildly noticable here.
Mouthfeel: medium bodied beer. Lightly crisp throughout with some dryness arriving late.
Overall: nice flavor profile and mild refreshing qualities make this a very easy to quaff beer.

Was very excited to finally see an IPA at my local brewery. Paid two dubloons (6 dollars) for an 8 oz. serving and was very impressed. The color was spot on for an IPA, with a complex hoppy smell and taste. The 8% alcohol was neither too weak or too strong and complimented the taste very well. So far this is my favorite brew from the guys at Village Idiot, looking forward to drinking the bomber I bought immediately after enjoying the 8oz glass.
