Poured into a Lagunitas largemouth glass.
Look: Clear amber color, looks on the watery side. Light cream colored head that quickly dissipates to nothing but I very light ring around the glass.
Aroma: Slightly buttery with toasted malts and gentle caramel sweetness.
Taste: As feared, on the watery side with toasted malts, buttery grains, and a tea leaf tangy finish.
Mouthfeel: Light and watery, not that smooth.
Overall: I'm pretty easy to please when it comes to amber ales but I felt this one was too thin in every category. Certainly has the redeeming quality of being a good yard work beer in the hotter months.
