If you are into stouts and if you love coffee.... This is KING!!! Smooth like silk, almost milky and creamy. Very nice palate. The only thing it lacks is more complex aromas. It has an amazing flavor... So I don't know why it does not have a more profound aroma. Trybt before is gone!!!

I really like this beer and thoroughlly enjoyed the taste and nose. It was a little thin, but still great.

Pours an effervescent ebony with 2 fingers of tan/mocha colored head. Stellar head retention & lacing

S: Faint coffee, not much else, some vanilla & caramel as well

T: Coffee, cocoa, toffee, dryness, a little vanilla too. Mucho coffee grounds as this warms, vanilla, mocha, turns a little boozey, some caramel, Finishes with mocha, a little dryness & somewhat stronger coffee presence

MF: Medium bodied, fairly lively carbonation, warming as well

Drinks easy for the ABV, but starts to lose a little smoothness as this warmed. I enjoyed this, Price is not good & when the hell is this actually gonna be made in Oklahoma??? Well worth a go

Another success by Black Mesa. Excellent stout with smooth coffee flavors without the bitterness. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Pours from the 16 ounce bottle a deep brown with a finger of chocolate mocha head. The aroma is kind of muddy, with the chocolate, coffee and fruity notes blending together. The taste is pretty much the same. There's just this one nearly nondescript taste, then it ends with a dry fruitiness. Medium thick mouth. I loved Red Badger, ESB and Double ESB, so I was looking forward to this one. And this one isn't bad; it's just muddled.

Appearance- Color is opaque black. Pours a two finger mocha-colored head.

Aroma- As expected tons of roasted coffee, but there is also a sweet almost fruity aroma mixed in with the coffee.

Taste- Lots of bitter roasted coffee flavors upfront along with some bittersweet chocolate. This gets really interesting towards the middle as that fruitiness from the aroma comes with a very noticeable strawberry flavor. By the time the finsih comes around the bitter coffee has faded allowing for a sweeter finish with more bittersweet chocolate and mild vanilla flavors.

Feel- Definitely a fulll bodied beer with thick, almost sticky malts that coat the mouth. Medium mount of carbonation noticeable on the middle of the tongue.

Overall- These collabs between elemental coffee and black mesa are producing some really great (and unique) coffee stouts. The fruity/strawberry aspect gives this really great flavor and makes this stand out from any coffee stout I've ever had. At $8 for a pint bottle is a little steep, but definitely worth grabbing a bottle or two.
