Pours dark brown with a tan head that dissipates moderately and leaves minimal lacing. Nose of roasted coffee and vanilla. Taste is coffee, malt, and dark chocolate body with a slightly boozey finish. ABV gives a love tap. Medium-full body and low carbonation with a sticky mouth feel. It is sticky and lingers long enough to feel odd. Could definitely be smoother.
I like the nose and taste but the stickiness got to me a little bit. The stickiness did go away as it warmed up. One of the better brews from Black Mesa.

Pours like 2 year old motor oil with a fast dissipating mocha colored head. Below average head retention & lacing, very vicious
S: Coffee, dark chocolate, a little vanilla & raisin
T: Mocha mixing with a little dark chocolate & charred grain up front. A little woody hops, mixes with so much lovely chocolate & dryness, plus coffee, plus dryness, a little caramel as well. Finishes with figs, mocha, & a bit of coffee
MF: Fairly chewy, moderate carbonation. Really fills out as it warms, still needs more body, becomes just a bit overgassed as it warms
Probably their best effort to date, well worth a try

Nice stout. Similar to some of the more complex American stouts but not quite as overpowering. Very drinkable.

A really good coffee stout overall. I prefer a thicker, more molasses-like stout but this one surprised me. With its subtle coffee notes an orange-ish taste comes through. If you have an opportunity to try this...do it.

Straight up bitter ice coffee. This one is awesome and dangerously easy to drink. It probably isn't the most balanced coffee stout since it is hard to pick up on any hop bitterness, but this was an incredible beer.
