Pours to a creamy head that lasts and laces. Aroma is clean, lagery toasty/nutty malt and a hint of noble German hops. Flavor is perfect blend of toasty, dry roasted nutty malts, soft noble hop acids and a crisp, dry malt finish. Feels great. This is true Altbier.

I have a soft spot for altbier for some reason. This one is quite good. I would say text book for the style, but perhaps lacking some "authentic" quality that is hard to put a finger on. Nice rustic malty base. Integrated herbal hoppy flavors. Clean-ish finish with a lingering bitterness. ABV makes it suitable for throwing a few back. A year around beer, not too overwhelming for warm weather drinking, yet ample enough for cool weather sipping.
