Traditionally, imperial was the term for beers made in England specifically for the imperial court of Russia, but today refers to any “big and bold” style. And in this fashion, High Stakes does not disappoint! Tipping the scales at 8.0% alc./vol. and 80 IBU, this beer is remarkably smooth, fruity, and well-balanced.

Barkerville Brewing 'High Stakes Imperial IPA' @ 8.0% , served from a 650 ml bottle purchased for $6.50
A-pour is gold from the bottle to a clear gold in the glass with a medium size white head leaving a spotty lace along the pint
S-mild smells , not at all pungent
T-ok , dry swallow
MF-decent carbonation , feels full bodied
Ov-just an ok Interior BC beer/DIPA ,

Honestly, everything else except for the smell, was on point. I would have given the taste higher but it seemed unoriginal. That being said, looks and pours like a beautiful lager.
