Created in honour of Barkerville's Hurdy Gurdy Dancers for International Women's Day, Hurdy Gurdy Hibiscus is an entertaining, complex change of pace.

Valemount 18/7 2018. 65 cl bottle from BC Liquor in Valemount. Seems to be a tribute to some Hurdy Gurdy Dancer in honour of International Women’s Day. If I have not understood the point there is marker for “Pink Boots Brew” as well.
Pours hazy deep orange with a medium-sized white head. Settles as 0,5 cm thick layer of foam. Substantial Lacing. Quite a lot of yeast remnants in the bottom of the glass.
Aroma is intense and very sweet. Orgy of sweet fruit. Peach, mango, burnt plastic, light butter notes. Moderate citric, acerbic notes. The citric grapefruit odors become stronger as the beer warms up.
Soft carbonation. Soft, thin texture.
Flavor is rather sweet followed by a slightly more moderate citric bitterness. The bitterness becomes more prominent as the beer warms up. Aftertaste is sourish and finish is semi-dry.
A bit predictable to make a celebration of the internationale Womens Day so sweet. I thought a modern woman was supposed to be feisty and Independent - and not too sweet.
