The name says it all. You asked for us to do a session IPA, so we did. And, we're glad you asked. Light in body, hearty in hops - this makes a hot summer day more refreshing and happy.

A: Pours a crystal clear medium copper in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising from the bottom of the glass and moderate medium golden yellow + burnt orange + honey + apricot colored highlights. The beer has a three finger tall dense sudsy foamy beige head that reduces to a handful of small patches of thin film surrounded by a large patch of very thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate to significant amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate aromas of toasted + bready + caramel malts with a light amount of caramel sweetness. Slightly stronger than moderate aromas of citrus/grapefruit pith + floral + herbal hops.

T: Upfront there are just shy of moderate flavors of toasted + bready + caramel malts with a light amount of caramel sweetness. That is followed by slightly stronger than moderate flavors of citrus/grapefruit pith + floral + herbal hops which impart a light to moderate amount of lingering bitterness.

M: Light to medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Slightly crisp upfront with a hint of dryness in the finish.

O: Enjoyable with well hidden alcohol and it lacks the thin/watery aspect of most session IPAs (yeah! that is the worst aspect of most session IPAs). Enjoyable with a pretty decent balance of maltiness and hoppiness and enough bitterness to keep my interest.
