Poured from a pint can. 0016 on the label, canned Nov 2017. Looks like crude oil, with minimal head that doesn't last long. Black licorice and the bourbon predominate. The bouquet is gentle. Mouthfeel is rich syrupy. More black coffee, less cocoa. Overall a bit overpriced @ $23 for a pack of four. Perhaps I don't fully appreciate the delicacy of a locally brewed BBA, stout. Other options include Blue Mountain's Dark Tunnel and FOOTHILLS option in their porter and Sexual Chocolate.

Canned on 11/29/2017.Pours into a goblet jet black with not light coming thru,a thinner deep mocha colored head atop.Love the rich aromas,chocolate,vanilla/caramel,toast,and alcohol dipped dark fruits,the bourbon barrel imparts the vanilla and toast wich is subtle but very nice.Sticky with chocolate flavors up front on the palate,then the caramel comes into play,with a drying coffee roast in the finish,not in your face bourbon or sweet alcohol.Not quite as full as most beers of this style but it goes down easy.A nice sipping bourbon barrel aged stout that doesn't clobber you over the head.
