This beer is loaded with late addition and whirlpool Mosaic hops. Big citrus aromas and flavors. Big piney, resiny affects. Perfect for a Sunday release.

This is marketed as a New England IPA, but it definitely is not what I expect to be for a NEIPA. It’s fairly hazy and not as creamy or smooth, it’s like a less bitter west coast IPA. That being said it is one of my top 5 best IPA’s and worth a try if you can get your hands on it.

A: Pours a lightly hazy medium to dark golden honey in color with just shy of moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and moderate dark golden yellow + burnt orange colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall dense sudsy foamy light beige head that slowly reduces to a large patch of very thin film covering the majority of the surface (95%+) of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light amounts of lacing are observed.,
S: Moderate to strong aromas of juicy citrus/grapefruit, citrus/grapefruit pith, tropical/mango, pine, and dank resinous hops over the top of moderate aromas of caramel + toasted + oat malts with a light to moderate amount of caramel sweetness.
T: Upfront there are moderate flavors of caramel + toasted + oat malts with a light to moderate amount of caramel sweetness. That is followed by moderate to strong flavors of juicy citrus/grapefruit, citrus/grapefruit pith, tropical/mango, pine, and dank resinous hops which imparts a moderate amount of bitterness which fades away leaving a light to moderate pine + citrus hops presence.
M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Relatively smooth with a light amount of dryness in the finish.
O: Drinks pretty easily for a DIPA with a decent balance of sweetness and hoppiness/bitterness. Enjoyable with a pleasant hop profile, more of a West meets NE style vs a straight up NE style.
