Here at Four Saints, we’ve begun getting into lagers more and more. Having tried multiple lighter in color styles, we realized we hadn’t done a dark lager. Given the time of year, a Schwarzbier German-style Dark Lager seemed appropriate. This style shows off with a light mouthfeel, great roast flavors, and rustic character. Mellow and sharp. Dark and light. Nutty and malty. Describing this beer is a continuing flow of dichotomous descriptors. So regardless of what stands out to you, we hope this first foray into dark lagers falls in line with our other Great Beers for Great People.
