I have never had a Revolver cocktail but am a fan of Rye whiskey.Pours into a small tulip glass a murky chestnut brown with minimal head, not off to a great start.Aromas are much better than the the looks, rich caramel, orange rind, roasted nuts, and spicy rye all rolled into one nicely rounded profile.Sticky and somewhat sweet with a fuller but mellow feel.Caramel/vanilla and candied orange sweetness mixed with decent shot of spiciness from the rye,it gets boozy after mid glass.Man I wanted to like this more than I do,all the components are there and it's made by a kick ass brewery,it's good.

Look: It pours brown with a brown head. Head retention is medium low.
Smell: There are strong aromas of rye and orange. There are some toffee notes with caramel and noticeable alcohol elements.
Taste: The orange flavors are pronounced with caramel and toffee. There is a liquor like element to it with rye flavors. There is a low level of nuts in the background. There are also some low dried cherry elements.
Feel: It has a chewy body with pronounce, but smooth alcohol warming.
Overall, a complex and well orchestrated combination of flavor elements. It's a traditional barleywine with other elements that makes this truly unique.
