Tasted on tap at the Crown, an organic gastro-pub nr. the Victoria Park, East London. This beer, alongside Freedom Organic Lager, are the two regular lagers on tap at this pub, where one could also find four other Pitfield's ales on draught with a guest (usually St. Peter's Organic Best Bitter). A must-visit pub in London for organic-people...
A: pale-straw hued, with a very thin beer head and quite moderate and constant streams of fizz.
S: deeply dryish grassy and lemony hop profile on top of a moderate grainy aroma with a touch of corny malts. Refreshing and pleasant.
T: mildly sweet grainy flavour comes with an underlying, dryish and spicy hops developing in the background, slowly introducing a flow of bitterness and slightly toasty favour in the end.
M&D: "softly-lively" on the mouthfeel throughout, very light bodied and crisply dry in the ending note. Could use a bit more depth. Overall, an easy-drinking and solid lager from the excellent London-based micro-brewery!
