Vintage 1999, bottle #266.
Silent uncorking, pours still, clear, and ruby.
Mirror-like top, no sign of carbonation, but serious legs.
Large whiskey aromatics, with hints of rum- steeped cherries and gewurztraminer.
Strong, fruity, and spicy.
Body is on the thickish side, syrupy and sticky.
Pallet is immediately deluged with scotch-infused juicy malt.
An unabashed alcohol character leads the charge, quickly warming the throat, then nostrils upon exhale.
A firm bitterness lends itself well with other lingering components.
Peppercorn studded berries, clove spiked tangerines, and ginger infused brandy.
Finishes persistantly warming, with a hint of oakey dryness, and slightly tannic.
