I love these guys but as my palate has changed over the years I did lower my rating as I finally got to a review. This is very easy drinking, but it is just too malty for me. The hop bitterness (not very bitter though) is there but I'm not getting a ton of distinct hop character (i.e. - pine, floral, earth, citrus, tropical, etc.) but more of a generic hop bitterness. This creates a very drinkable DIPA that is well made, just not my preferred flavor profile in the style. Probably a great transition into the style from those that prefer the malty styles but will likely not wow those looking for an exciting hop profile. I still can appreciate the quality though.
