L- poured from brewery tap. Poured semi-hazy and golden yellow, into a tulip glass with a finger of white head. Good head retention and lacing.
S- Lemongrass, lemon peel and a little bit of and some grainy malt sweetness. The hops are all Sorachi Ace so their lemony quality shines here.
T- bitter lemon peel, grassy on a base of sweet bready wheat malt and some slight coconut.
F- this is moving toward double IPA territory at 7.2 percent but it has a light-medium body with dry finish.
O- Not a belgian IPA - it is an American IPA with a lot of wheat in the grain bill. So think more like a hoppy wheat with a ton of lemony goodness from the Sorachi Ace. A truly unique representation of the style and I think this hop works perfectly with the wheat.
