A true classic that won’t ever go out of fashion. The Classic is designed to be versatile – you can drink this all day and in all seasons. We’ve taken careful measures to create an elegant balance of malts and hops in this pale ale. The result is just enough malty richness, paired with a thirst-quenching blend of North American and Australian hops. We employ late additions and dry hopping to bring out its delightful fruity, floral and zesty aroma.

L- Pale gold, 1cm white head of big bubbles.
S- Mango, lychee - suggests some powerful 'IPA-style' hops are on the cards.
T- Ooph, very bitter, with citrus overtones, think grapefruit juice mixed 50/50 with a non hop-bomb of a beer.
F- Acidic, sharp; fashionable it seems but challenging and unenjoyable to me.
O- Doesn't taste like beer to me. Rather say a very bitter grapefruit juice soda drink with girlie perfumed exotic fruit notes wafting along on top. A fashionable, apparently, but very strange blend of elements.
BB: 17/04/19. 330ml bottle, bought from Cold Storage Singapore

A 330ml bottle with a best before date of 30th June 2017, poured into a Mikkeller pint glass.
Appearance: It poured a slightly hazy golden orange colour with a two finger foamy white head that had great retention and left nice lacing.
Aroma: A bit weak, but what I do get is lightly biscuit and toasty with tropical pineapple, citrus grapefruit, lemon and pine.
Taste: Biscuit and mango with hints of pineapple, orange zest, pine and grass. Finish is lightly bitter.
Mouthfeel: Light bodied with moderate carbonation.
Overall: A nice Pale Ale that is easily drinkable.

At last, the HK been scene is improving with passionate and capable brewers. This is an potable beer with a hazy appearance and piney/fruity aroma. The initial mouthfeel is not convincing but as it lingers passion fruit and lime kick in, and it is well balanced with malty sweetness. Like it a lot!

A: Amber and hazy with medium foamy head (3/3)
S: Lightly pineapple and piney but relatively weak (8/12)
T: Pineapple again with a piney salsa aftertaste (17/20)
M: Medium carb with very wet feel until the end which is slightly dry (4/5)
O: Not bad at all. Certainly not the best pale I've ever had but I would certainly drink this all day. Way to go hk! (7/10)
