A 330ml can, canned on 8th January 2019, and with a best before date of 8th October 2019. Poured into a Holy Mountain tulip glass.
Appearance: A nice clear golden colour with a one finger white head that dissipated fairly quickly and left only sparse to no lacing.
Aroma: Mango, passionfruit, blueberry, citrus rind, pine, lemon and grass.
Taste: Tropical and citrus mix, mango, passionfruit, blueberry, citrus rind, lemon zest, pine, biscuit malt and an interesting lightly bitter, pepper spice finish.
Mouthfeel: Dry, light to medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
Overall: Great aroma with balanced fruit and bitterness for an easy to drink hoppy lager.

IMPORTANT PREFACE: This isn't EXACTLY a Euro strong ale. It's actually a DDH Brut Imperial Lager. Yeah. It's one of those genre-breaking experimental beers. And SPOILER ALERT (and the TL;DR) this is an AMAZING beer.
Consumed at The Druggists in Singapore (awesome place that it is) for the price of a premium independent lager in a premium independent beer house here. I don't know if I've ever said this - but drinking is heck expensive down here in Singapore.
L: As usual, I'm rating this a good 10 or so minutes into my beer. So fizziness aside, this is going to be (mostly) accurate. Colo(u)r: bright, clear GORGEOUS amber. This is a gorgeous looking beer. Pixar, take a book out of the reflection and refraction on this beer. This beer is a gorgeous color. Pretty nice head that dissipates pretty quickly. It's not a very bubbly lager now that I think about it - it looks more ale-ish than anything else. In other words - it's like a gorgeous blonde lager had a baby with a light-ish ale. Some light ale is living my fantasy. And my sister's. And my brother's.
S: DDH. Double Dry Hopped. And you can smell it. Is this REALLY a lager? I can barely smell the malts. I smell a faint piney note. No bananas - which means no esthers. It's really light on the nose. Which sucks because my sinuses are really acting up. For one thing you really don't smell the alcohol. Which is weird because this is an 8% monster. I'm giving it another whiff and that pine is really coming out. Sinuses aside, this is a delicious smelling beer.
T: Can't wait. And I tip the glass to my lips. And... 8%?? Really? This beer is 8%. I can barely taste it. There are the incredible piney hops - like a really good IPA, but it rounds off with this awesome malty note. It's warm and comforting, like some piney malt mouth blanket. But no susceptible alcohol burn. This is drinking amazeness. It's goes down. And the aftertaste. That bitter pine hoppiness - that familiar IPA taste. And then a lager maltiness hidden behind that like the shy sibling peeking out from behind the older sister. This is an American style IIPA in drag dressed up as a gorgeous blonde lager. And yes, it's in drag, and not wearing a lager as a skin-suit. It's WAY too nice to be some hideous ax(e) murderer.
INTERMISSION: Yep. I can SO feel the 8% now. Wow. I'm suddenly quite happy.
F: To not much left in the glass now. And I'm sad. But from what I remember, and from what I'm still continuing to savor, this beer is buzz on the palate. It's mostly flat by now, but there's still a noticeable zing to it. Like an alcohol burn that feels good. I have no idea WHAT they do to this, but this does not feel as boozy as it should. Oh, and it's smoothly velvet going down.
O: Be Water My Friend - with how amazingly drinkable this 8% beer is, you will. Be VERY wary of this - it's WAY too delicious and drinkable for the ABV. Proceed with caution. And definitely get yourself a pint. Or two. Or three. You'll definitely end up feeling like water.
