Pours a clear dark amber/copper color with a thin foamy head. Head retention is minimal. Lacing is mild. Aroma of caramel malts and piney resin. Strong caramel taste with very bitter piney resin. A little abrasive and astringent. Medium bodied with low carbonation. Not bad but not what I expected from a fresh hop ale. May be the lines from the tap is was poured from.
