This is an excellent warm, comforting beer! Had it on tap into a snifter. Dark brown body with a great head and excellent curtain lacing. This beer has a wonderful smooth, rich feel. Chocolate smell which is prominent in the taste. Earthy, dark pumpernickel toast, dates, a bit of coffee and pleasant roasted malt. A hint of booziness is revealed as it warms.. loved it!
