This is a Milk Stout using Hugo's Mexican Chocolate.
A: Pours a dark brown, nearly black with some ruby red around the edges. A dense two finger tan head forms with good retention, and plenty of lace left behind.
S: Some dry chocolate powder in the nose, a touch yeasty, and then bitter roast lingers. Simple, but enjoyable.
T: The chocolate is richer and a little sweeter than the nose. Toasted malts, baked bread, toffee, and more bitter roast comes out as this warms. Very nice.
M/O: A medium body that might have a little to much carbonation. A bit to prickly for my tastes at first. Though that smooths out as this breaths. Really easy and enjoyable to drink. I will be getting more of this when I see it.
Another solid offering from the Icon Series. Maybe a touch bigger body would make this exceptional. As is, something I very much enjoy and highly recommended.
