Poured from bottle into chalice, good 2 finger off white head, so so retention, good lacing. Clear amberish golden in the glass. Got the citra/mosaic combo going on the nose, bright when chilled and more pungent as it warms. Front loaded on the bitterness, slight caramel sweetness followed with some citrus. Smooth thru the middle with a nice bitter finish. Good body for 6%.

Serving: 12 oz bottle (stamped “03/06/18”) poured into a Spiegelau IPA glass.
Appearance: Pale, nearly clear golden yellow with a modest head of frothy white foam spotty lace.
Smell: Mellow aroma of melon, citrus and peppers.
Taste: Light and juicy, more melon and citrus (lemon, orange), along with a crisp bitterness.
Mouthfeel: Light to medium body with moderate carbonation.
Overall: Easy drinking, refreshing and juicy IPA, if a bit pedestrian.
Follow up: Tried again on tap at the brewery (following the 2018 Santo de Mayo 5K), served in a shaker pint. Brighter aroma and taste, with plenty more crisp citrus and some zesty hops. Well hopped but still went down well after 3+ miles in the sun.

A: Pours a beautifully clear orange color. A dense two finger white head forms with excellent retention. Lots of lace left behind.
S: Very aromatic, with a big pungent hop character. Citrus and orange peal, peppery spice. Then that honey dew melon aroma takes over and is great.
T: Again, lots of pungent hops. Citrus and orange peal is big. A peppery spice, and melons. Bitterness lingers, but never gets in the way.
M/O: A medium body that has fantastic carbonation. A great effervescent bite that is superbly crisp, clean and dry. Very enjoyable. I can come back to this a lot.
This is a really well made IPA. One I find amazingly clean and dry, which considering the hazy crazy is becoming surprisingly harder to find sadly. I'll be getting many more six packs when I see it.
