This is one of the rotating tap only releases at the Beer Garden and restaurant.
A: Pours a brilliantly clear orange/copper color. A two finger white head forms with excellent retention and spiderweb looking lace coats the glass all the way down.
S: A pine resin, citrus, orange, and lemon hoppy aroma. Straight forward, but bright, vibrant, and really enjoyable.
T: Follows the nose, with pine resin, citrus, orange and lemon rind. A touch of bread like malts, and a bit of lingering bitterness. Very nice.
M/O: A medium body with a great effervescent bite. Excellent carbonation, supper clean, and finishes ultra dry. I would say the best dry finish I have come by for this new style. Really enjoyable, and something I will be looking for more often when at the brewery.
While I haven't had a ton of the Brut style IPA, this is probably the best expression I have had so far. Which makes sense, Saint Arnold makes the cleanest, most effervescent and dry beers in Houston anyway. This is pretty much the IPA Saint Arnold was put here to make.
