Reviewed 3/3/2009 (Tap at Gingerman, Houston, TX):
Pours a cloudy orange colored body, with a big white lasting head. Has a fruity aoma, effervescnt. Somewhat Belgiany nose, but overall, not much aroma. Fruity hefeweizen taste. A heavy palate, a fruity heavy body. Also some banana and light fruit, and pear. A lot of spiciness. Somewhat watery. A little too sweet after a while.

had a pint at the gingerman.
A: it has a golden straw color, with a hint of redness. small white head.
S: it has a belgian yeast smell. also smells of clove, with hints of banana. it has a very nice smell to it.
T: tastes of clove, some banana and belgian yeast. just as the smell predicts. you can taste some of the amber maltiness come through in the background. it also has a nice bitterness at the end from the hops.
M: it had a nice dry finish, with a thin-medium body. not too much carbonation.
D: Very drinkable. i wish i could get this year round.

When I added this beer I was taking a guess at the style I think BPA is the closest one and I also don't know what the abv is for sure, but I'd guess thats its around 5.5 like the regular amber.
A - Poured a slightly hazed light amber color with a white head that leaves lacing behind
S - Has a very yeasty and spiced nose the malt doesn't come out nearly as much as in the regular amber
T - Very good taste follows the nose the spiced yeast flavors are the most noticeable
M - This beer has a lighter body with higher carbonation to it
D - The regular amber is good but this one with the Belgian yeast is really good I could session this beer if the abv is where I think it is definitely worth going out to one of the tapping of these kegs
