Coastal Harmony is our take on a juicy double IPA. At 9.2% ABV and 71 IBU, our focus was to create a big tropical aroma and flavor while integrating bitterness rather than it being a focal point. To accomplish this, we used techniques similar to those we've learned from brewing Juicy IPA and Low Dose: late kettle hop additions and the use of Incognito, an all-natural hop product that delivers highly concentrated flavor and aroma.
This beer benefits the Urban South Coastal Harmony Fund, managed by the Greater New Orleans Foundation. Funds will be directed rapidly to organizations on the ground doing hurricane relief work in Southeast Texas and Southwest Louisiana, as well as the long-term work of rebuilding our coast.

A: Pours a clear golden orange color. A one finger white head forms with good retention and lace left behind.
S: Not particularly aromatic, some citrus and melon fruits. Not bad, though not particularly unique.
T: More going on here, with citrus rind, melon and other tropical fruit flavors. Some caramel malt and sweetness. A lingering bitterness as well.
M/O: A full body with good carbonation. Crisp and clean. After some sweetness, this does finish dry as well. Easy to sip for sure.
Like everything Saint Arnold does, this is well made. Not particularly intense or unique in any way, but I enjoyed my pint at the brewery. Its not a style I typically gravitate to in the first place, but they have done better examples of the style. Enjoyable for what it is though.
