Small Batch Series: Hefeweizen.
For this one, we stayed true to German brewing conditions: high amount of wheat, multiple mash steps, and no dry hop. However, we did put some American influence on it by using Strata hops from the Pacific Northwest. Enjoy the banana and clove aroma, balanced by a honey-malt and biscuit malt character.

A: Pours with a nice haze, golden/orange color. A white head forms that leaves plenty of lace behind.
S: All the classic Hefe notes in the nose. Spicy clove, orange rind and banana. This is simple, but really well done.
T: Like the nose, all the spicy clove, and banana esters you can handle. There is just a touch of hoppiness and biscuit like malts. Like it a lot.
M/O: A medium body with moderate carbonation. That becomes soft, but ultra silky smooth. I can down this in big gulps. Really enjoyable to drink.
I think this is a riff on, or bringing back one of the Icon Series offerings, but only on tap at the brewery. All around really enjoyable, and while it is simple. Less is more, and greater than the sum of its parts. As the cliches go. I'll drink a lot of this. and hope it sticks around in one form or another.
