Pours clean, straw gold. Aroma is semi muted and mostly reads as wort. The hops hold surprisingly well here, but the malts are in play. Easy drinker, notes of lemon and orange with some dank in the finish. Decent beer

Not quite in the class of Three Floyd's Gumballhead (American Pale Wheat Ale), but definitely demonstrates the qualities of a finely crafted brew!
American Pale Wheat Ales offer a unique flavor and is definitely worth trying. This offering is light and hoppy. The wheat base is enhanced with Citra hops, giving it an IPA-like finish.
It pours a strong, 2 finger head, the smell is unmistakably Citra hops, the taste is dominated by the Citra, giving it a tart taste, and a slightly bitter feel. Again, comparing this to my favorite in the Am Pale Wheat Ale (3 Floyds - Gumballhead), that offering is sweeter and smoother, to the 'gumball' name reference.
This is a perfect alternative to your favorite Session IPA; give it a try! $6.99/bomber in the Columbus, OH area, home of Sideswipe Brewing.

I really am not a fan of wheat beer, but the citra note on this was outstanding. Still held on to the wheat with the tartness and lingering finish. Normally you get orange peel with wheat, but with this you get the lemony flavor from the additions of hop. Bravo, Sideswipe, I shall have another.

Light golden in color. Clear, but there's yeast in the bottle still. Decent head and lacing. Aroma is oranges and citrus fruit, as well as some yeast and a touch of pine. Taste follows the nose, but it's got a slightly harsh bitter finish. Wheats are always too bubbly for me, so I think the carb level gives it an enhanced bitterness. It's a really good hoppy wheat beer and the first I've tried from this local brewery, but doesn't quite rank up with beers like Gumballhead and Lil Sumpin Sumpin. I'd recommend trying if you find it. I'm really not sure, but I think it may be their summer release. $6.99 for 22 oz bomber.
