This burnt amber-colored ale features butternut squash, whole cinnamon sticks and cloves. This medium-bodied beer has a refined palette of seasonal spice that’s rejuvenating, not overbearing.

22 ounce bottle. Served in a nonic pint glass, the beer pours a hazy orange/amber color with about a half inch off-white head. Head retention and lacing are both good. The brew smells like pumpkin, cloves, and cinnamon. It tastes like cloves, pumpkin, squash, cinnamon, and grainy/bready malt. I think the clove/cinnamon flavors are strongest, but the gourd flavors from the pumpkin and squash give some earthiness to this brew. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's a bit coating and goes down pretty easy. There's a moderate amount of carbonation. I liked this brew a lot, it's definitely one of the better new pumpkin ales that I've tried this year! And it's always nice seeing a local brewery make a quality brew like this, I'll have to pick up some more pretty soon. $7.49 a bomber.
